I need a new idea
We all do
from time
to time to make a change.
Vehicle was once but now it is found so I
am
out.
Where are you? That’s me too.
I need a new idea.
Do you?

Backseat Driver - Kris Tootle
This weekends featured artist is Kris Tootle. Kris and his wife Christina are the proprietors of Fresh Tracks Farm in Berlin, VT. Along with his trusty crew of workers, his dogs, horses and son Sawyer, Kris runs an extensive operation. Fresh Tracks Farm has a working vineyard and maple sugar shack where they produce some of the finest damn wine and syrup products I've ever tasted. Kris is a farmer, businessman, world-traveler, drummer, backyard sportsman, friend, father, husband, scientist, chef, carpenter, mechanic, vintner, music lover, dipper, drinker, smoker, son, brother, soul searcher and now published artist and photographer. I can't thank him enough for taking a minute from his busy day to snap a photo for Vehicle. We will always love Kris, his family and his farm.

Backseat Driver
Today we have a couple of pics by Kaitlyn Annis. Kait is a friend of mine who has contributed a few photographs to Vehicle. I think she is a great photographer, artist and electronics salesperson. I love her dog, Monte, and her wacky sense of humor. I think we will be seeing great art from her for years to come. Gimme a K, Gimme an A, Gimme an I and a T! What's that spellllllll? Kait! Gooooo Kait!

Feels Like Friday
It feels like Friday at Vehicle HQ. That means getting set for weekend warrior stuff; day trips, bike rides maybe even a first spin on the riding mower. Grab a snap shot and send it over to me magleicher@gmail.com Have fun and remember that you are an artist, friend and citizen so capture the moment especially while you're moving.

Backseat Driver
I think Ivan's email says alot about this weeks featured artist. Also, his photo's speak volumes about the creativity that goes into Vehicle Photography. We love this stuff!
Hello Mark,
Here you have some of my picks. The pictures have been taken while skating, so all of them are in movement. I don't like to use the automatic setup in the camera, so I just try to calculate light and speed and I go. The idea is to create the feeling of speed and movement as well as offer the public the point of view of the skater. I think the relationship of the skateboarder with the urban landscape is pretty different and really intense and I love it. And this is the reason why I am doing a project based on skateboarding on the streets of different cities and towns.
Hope you enjoy the pics.
Ivan

Vehicle Video
We have gotten a pretty good response to the Malawi vehicle video so I'm going to open up the project to video taken from moving vehicles. I'm still accepting still-photography and the name will remain the same ('principal photography' is a term for video/film work so it's not TOTALLY irrelevant). I'll just be pushing a little more on the video for a little while and I hope in due time both video and still will be rockin' on here. So, if you have any video taken form a moving vehicle send it my way please. Thank you. -Mark

Backseat Driver - Erin Manning
FREE EELS - This personifies just one side of the artist, former intern and generally excellent person who is our Backseat Driver today. Erin Manning is a talented photographer, graphic designer and draughtswoman from the South Shore of Massachusetts. Her work has inspired me and her personality has amused and amazed me throughout the years. I'm thrilled that she has participated in this project. Enjoy her humor, attention-to-detail and free-wheelin' sensibilities as she takes you along on some of her travels. Moving on!!!!
